Welcome to London
Well for a month already I’ve been living in London and for the last 6 months I’ve been working in London. I love it here. There’s one thing that I love about London the most is…
Nobody gives a rats ass if you’re alright. Nobody fucking cares what you do and who you are. I mean people jump in front of trains every day and instead of treating that as a suicidal issue of the subway system everybody just gets annoyed cause of the train being delayed. The train operator will tell about it in such a bored manner he might as well be telling the latest news in stock market or the weather cast. It’s the greatest city in Europe but nobody gives a damn for each other and nobody has time for themselves or others. It’s brilliant and I absolutely adore it.
But everyone you’ll meet will ask you about your whereabouts. Maybe it’s because everyone in London is from somewhere else..maybe it’s a conversation opener..I don’t know what it is but I’m quite sure nobody is actually interested in your origins so you can lie or tell a very long story or be short and honest or well just refuse to answer at all. It’s entirely up to your mood and decision ’cause you know that it’s going to be fine either way ’cause..nobody cares.
But it’s great and it’s easy to make acquaintances here. You can make friends but be careful..friends are people that actually do care and as it’s so rare in London..they care a lot. And they worry and they will not be happy if you let them down. So be honest to yourself before you make friends.
Welcome to London…oh you’re here? Well..whatever!
